PROS: With a top speed of 191mph and impressive acceleration figures, this powerful model delivers great performance and comfortable handling, even on uneven roads.
CONS: The interior design leaves a lot to be desired and it feels like a cheap imitation of a great car. Naturally, fuel economy is poor and the carbon emissions will lumber owners with high tax bills.
Boasting 564bhp at 6100rpm and with torque figures of 550 lb-ft at 3800 rpm, the car is able to achieve an impressive top speed of 191mph and a 0-62 mph time of just 4.0 seconds, accompanied by the ferocious growl of the V8 engine.
The car handles well and bumps and imperfections on the road are ironed out nicely. Don't expect the CTS-V to match its European rivals when the road gets twisty, however.
Despite the cheap and tacky feel, the interior of the CTS-V Coupe actually boasts a rather impressive list of features. In-car features include leather seats, an advanced stereo system with both CD and MP3 connectivity and a built-in Sat Nav system as standard.
Rear parking sensors, cruise control, climate control, electric door mirrors and electric side windows are also included.
The CTS-V looks good with sharp angular styling. Alloy wheels and metallic paint are also standard features and help to improve the car's exterior appearance.
The car feels well built and benefits from a three year warranty with 60,000 miles which means reliability shouldn’t be an issue. A service is recommended every 10,000 miles and servicing bills are likely to be high.
In order to deter thieves the Cadillac comes with an alarm and immobiliser as standard.
Driver, passenger and front side airbags help protect the occupants in the event of a crash.
With a hefty price tag of £75,626 and high running costs, this model is never going to be considered an economical option. 18.1mpg is all you'll get on the combined cycle and, with the Caddy churning out 365g of CO2 every km, it falls under VED band M.
The CTS-V's resale values will be weaker than those if its German rivals and the BMW M5 is a far superior car and costs slightly less.

For such an expensive car, the Cadillac CTS-V Saloon 6.2 V8 is relatively unsophisticated. The car's brute power is undeniable, but at over £72k there are far better cars out there.
