"This is the most extensive development of existing models in our company's history. Each of the enhancements is designed around our customers' needs. We have focused on quality and attention to detail in order to give these dynamic models a major boost and sharpen their competitiveness," says Senior Vice President and Product Strategy & Vehicle Management, Lex Kerssemakers.
"The S60 and XC60 are our best-selling models in several important markets, and the innovative V60 Plug-in Hybrid has got off to a flying start. We have been listening very carefully to our customers in order to make improvements that ensure we make these successful cars more attractive."
The small attention to detail includes the relocating of the previously visible washer nozzles, which are now under the bonnet and out of the line of sight. Other tweaks include the new gloss black radar cover, the removal of the chrome frame around the grille and a bigger badge, symbolising the new self confidence of the range.
Under the bonnet is an engine capable of class-leading efficiency, 70.6mpg and CO2 emissions of just 106 g/km. Inside there are a number of technological advances including a Sensus Connected Touch system with unique on-line possibilities, and the R-Design range will benefit from new, more comfortable sports seats.
