Volkswagen have added an R-Line version to their seven-seater Touran MPV model for the first time.
The new trim level adds a sporty new dimension to the Volkswagen Touran, with both interior and exterior styling enhancements. Unique front and rear bumpers, radiator grille, side skirts, chrome mouldings for the rear bumper, 18-inch ‘Marseille’ alloy wheels, and R-Line badging give a new look to the outside, while inside the cabin the new trim level adds ‘Black Lead Grey’ decorative inserts in the dash, centre console and front doors, black roof lining, grey stitching on the leather-trimmed three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, contrasting microfibre seat bolsters, stainless steel pedals, and R-Line badged front seats and sill protectors.
Engine options for the new range-topping new Touran R-Line come in the form of 1.4-litre TSI petrol or 2.0-litre TDI diesel, while depending on engine choice there are six-speed manual or six- or seven-speed DSG automatic gearboxes. Start/Stop, brake energy recuperation, and low rolling resistance tyres, help achieve a combined fuel economy up to 62.8 mpg.
Available to order now, the Volkswagen Touran R-Line is priced from £27,740 for the 1.4-litre TSI six-speed manual model.
