Volkswagen has added a new model to its Polo range: the R-Line Style.
Based on the existing entry-level Polo S, the R-Line Style gets the R-Line body kit, which consists of distinctive front and rear bumpers and a bespoke radiator grille and side skirts. R-Line Style models also get body-coloured door handles and mirrors, 16-inch 'Rivazza' alloy wheels and Bluetooth; however, air-conditioning is available only as an option
The Polo R-Line Style is available with a choice of 59bhp and 69bhp 1.2-litre petrol engines and returns 51.4mpg on the combined cycle regardless of engine choice. Prices start from £11,740.
In addition to the new model, VW has increased equipment levels across the Polo range. The Polo BlueMotion and Polo Match (which has been renamed Polo Match Edition) now come with rear parking sensors, cruise control and alarm. The cost of these extras is £510, but these new models are priced at only £135 more than their predecessors.
Further up the range, the Polo SEL, R-Line, BlueGT and GTI models all now come with cruise control and rear parking sensors without an increase in price.
