Sat Nav manufacturer TomTom has provided a boost to directionally-challenged drivers with the release a new range of navigation systems.

The TomTom START is now available priced from £119.99, and comes with a raft of new improvements as well as a ‘Lifetime Maps’ feature which will provide four map updates per year for the life of the system.
“With the launch of the new TomTom START, we are making our latest navigation technology accessible to more drivers,” says Corinne Vigreux, Managing Director, TomTom Consumer. “With Lifetime Maps and smarter routing, drivers can be confident they will easily find their way.”
The TomTom START comes with 4-inch, 5-inch, or 6-inch screen options, while other features include Advanced Lane Guidance for clearer instructions on which lane to take at key junctions, and an improved route bar for at-a-glance travel information.  The new system also comes with a quick search feature which speeds up the route planning process, is pre-loaded with millions of points-of-interest, and a function allowing users to share and download verified map changes from the Map Share community.
