There is a new look, increased engine efficiency, and an FR estate model for SEAT’s popular supermini.
SEAT have released the first details about its revamped Ibiza, including the increased efficiency of the engines and the new design aspects, keeping it in line with the Alhambra and other recent models .
Inside the car, there has been an improvement of the quality of the interior materials, clearer dials, simplification of the climate controls, and (most importantly) there is also a larger glove box.
The new ST FR estate model will be the first of its kind for the Ibiza and it will be kitted out with a 1.4 litre twin-charged petrol engine. This will allow for a top speed of 132mph and acceleration of 0-62mph in 7.8 seconds.
At the greener end of the scale the new 1.2 TDI Ecomotive version boasts improved fuel economy at 83.1mpg where it was previously 80.7mpg, and a drop in emissions from 92g/km to 89g/km.
Due to go on sale in the spring, the new Ibiza will be slightly more expensive than the current version of the model.
