New Cayenne model is added to the mix as Porsche look for continued growth in their most popular line.

The new GTS will be released alongside a new entry level model with a 3.6 litre V6 petrol engine. The GTS currently makes up 11% of all Cayenne sales and four-door sports cars have become a major part of Porsche’s business model in recent years; indeed the Cayenne is now the German manufacturer’s most successful range.

Porsche claim that the latest version will deliver improved performance compared to the previous model which had a V8 naturally aspirated engine. Power output will increase by 20bhp to 440bhp and fuel consumption will reduce by up to 0.9litre/100km. It will accelerate from 0-62mph in 5.2 seconds or 5.1 seconds if the optional Sport Chrono package is chosen. Top speed will be 162mph and a sports exhaust system will give the soundtrack to match the specification.

When compared with previous Cayennes, the new GTS will offer more standard features. In addition to the eight-speed Tiptronic S with Auto Stop/Start and coasting functions these also include, for instance, the bi-xenon main headlights with four-point LED daytime driving lights, the multi-function sports steering wheel with paddle switches and an automatic tailgate.

The new models will be unveiled on 19th November and will be available from £49,576 for the Cayenne and £72,523 for the Cayenne GTS.
