The new top-of-the-range Porsche Cayenne Turbo S has been unveiled.
Set for UK release next January, Porsche claims that the new Turbo S will hit 62mph in 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 176mph.
The Cayenne Turbo S gets the same 4.8-litre twin-turbo V8 as the standard Turbo; however, Porsche has managed to extract another 50bhp from the unit, bringing the Turbo S's output up to 550bhp. However, despite the increased power, Porsche claims that the Turbo S has the same fuel economy and emissions figures as the standard Turbo, returning 24.6mpg and emitting 270g/km of CO2.
To cope with this monstrous power, the Cayenne Turbo S gets a host of control systems including Dynamic Chassis Control to reduce body roll in corners, and Torque Vectoring Plus, which uses an electronic rear differential to provide improved traction.
A number of subtle styling tweaks distinguish the Turbo S from lesser models in the Cayenne range, including black high-gloss headlamp surrounds, unique 21-inch wheels, two-tone leather seats and carbon fibre trim.
The Porsche Cayenne Turbo will cost from £107,460 when it goes on sale next year.
