An Aston Martin once owned by ex-Beatle Paul McCartney is expected to fetch £380,000 when it goes up for auction next month.

The 1964 DB5 was ordered by Sir Macca in 1964, just before the Beatles embarked upon their first world tour and comes complete with a number of unique features including a Philips Auto-Mignon record player.

In addition to this, the DB5 features a black leather interior, chrome wire wheels and a registration plate which commemorates both its year of manufacture and its most famous owner.

Sir Paul owned the Aston for six years, clocking up 40,000 miles in it before he sold it in 1970.

Under the bonnet, the Aston is fitted with a 4.0-litre straight-six engine which will propel the car to a top speed of 143mph.

Paul's DB5 goes up for auction on 31st October at RM Auctions in Battersea.
