Nissan has announced it will reintroduce the Pulsar model name on a new small family hatchback, which will act as a direct rival to the likes of the Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf.
The new Pulsar will mark Nissan's return to the traditional C-segment market, following the demise of the Almera back in 2000. Since then, Nissan has focussed predominantly on crossovers, most notably the Qashqai and the Juke.
Nissan claims that the new car, which was developed at Nissan's technical centre in Bedfordshire and which will be built at the company's Barcelona factory, has been designed with European buyers in mind.
Unfortunately, Nissan has yet to reveal any information on the new car, save for the obligatory ambiguous teaser shit. We'll have to wait until next week before we get any information on the new car.
The new Pulsar will go on sale in the UK towards the end of the year.
