The Nissan GT-R has received a range of updates for 2013 aimed at boosting the responsiveness of the engine and improving ride and handling.
The power output from the GT-R's 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 remains the same; however, Nissan has fitted the unit with new high-output fuel injectors and fiddled with the turbochargers to improve engine response, especially at high revs.
Modifications have also been made to the GT-R's springs and dampers to improve ride comfort, while changes to the anti-roll bar have lowered the car's centre of gravity, sharpening up the handling.
And on top of this, the boffins at Nissan have added reinforcements around the passenger compartment to increase rigidity and suspension control.
Nissan has also announced that two new special edition models will be offered in the UK -- a Black Edition with a black and red steering wheel, and a Premium Edition model with two-tone leather upholstery.
Nissan will reveal the full pricing and performance details closer to the GT-R's spring 2013 launch.
