Nissan has confirmed the addition of a new engine for its Pulsar range, with a 187bhp 1.6-litre DIG-T petrol turbo power plant to become available from next Spring.
The sporty new motor, which produces 187bhp at 5,600rpm, expands the choice of engines in the Pulsar range to three. Utilising low friction technology and cooled exhaust gas recirculation, the fully EU6 complaint engine still returns 47mpg and emits just 138g/km of CO2.
To coincide with the new engine option, all Nissan Pulsar DIG-T powered models will be treated to a trim upgrade, with bespoke diamond-cut two-tone black and silver alloy wheels, sports headlamps with black finish bezel, and chrome exhaust finisher added to their list of standard equipment. Interior features unique to the DIG-T models include alloy sports pedals, and white stitching to the three-spoke steering wheel and, on Tekna spec models, leather seats.
