Production of the new Aston Martin Vantage has begun at the manufacturer’s Gaydon plant.
The first example rolled off the production line this week, with customer deliveries scheduled to commence later this month.
The hand-built sports car joins the Rapide S, DB11, and soon-to-be-launched DBS Superleggera in completing the Aston Martin line up, and is the second in a line of seven new models to be launched in a seven year period as part of the 105-year-old brand’s ‘Second Century Plan’.
“Today marks an exciting moment for the entire company and an important day in the history of Aston Martin”, said Aston Martin supremo Dr Andy Palmer. “The outgoing Vantage was the single most successful model in Aston Martin’s history and we believe its successor will surpass that.”
