An exclusive new model is being launched to celebrate six decades of the Mini.

Just 500 examples of the MINI 60 Years Edition are destined for UK buyers, finished in a striking British Racing Green with black contrast roof, and exclusive 17-inch light alloy wheels.

Built at the MINI plant in Oxford, the 60 Years Edition has been introduced to kick off the celebrations in this special anniversary year. The original British Motor Corporation Mini was launched on 26 August 1959, and the Alec Issigonis-designed car set the standard for innovative use of space, fun, style, individualisation, and economy.

The MINI 3-door Hatch Cooper S 60 Years Edition continues that tradition. It has a combined fuel consumption of 39.8 – 43.5 mpg, combined CO2 emissions of 129 - 127 g/km, and with an automatic transmission goes from 0-62 mph in just 6.7 seconds. It stands out courtesy of a new British Racing Green IV paint finish and piano black exterior trim, black roof and exterior mirror caps, special anniversary design bonnet stripes, exclusive 17-inch light alloy wheels in 60 Years Spoke 2-tone, 60 Years badging, and an additional set of MINI spot lamps fitted to the front radiator grille. A special interior has been produced, with 60 Years branded steering wheel and front seats, the latter of which are finished with MINI Yours Leather Lounge in Dark Cacao, and contrast seat stitching and piping to match the new exterior paintwork.

Navigation Plus pack is included, and adds a larger 8.8” touch display with Satellite Navigation, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity, concierge service, and wireless charging. The 60 Years Edition also boasts a rear view camera, folding exterior mirrors, and front and rear Park Distance Control. Other standard features include LED front and rear lights, intelligent emergency call, ambient lighting, and automatic headlights with rain sensor.

The MINI 60 Years Edition vehicles will be available in the UK from March 2019 at retailers nationwide, priced at £29,990 on-the-road.
