The standard Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster isn't exactly what you'd call a slouch, but a German tuning company by the name of Senner Tuning clearly thought that Merc's supercar could be improved with a few suspension tweaks and an extra dollop of power.
Senner has boosted the standard SLS's 6.2-litre V8 from 563 to 598bhp, while increasing torque from 479lb-ft to 509lb-ft. This means that, in terms of sheer pulling power, the SLS is now a match for the Lamborghini Aventador.
The extra power was coaxed from the engine through the fitment of new high-flow air filters and a high-performance stainless steel exhaust system.
No performance figures have yet been released, but expect a small improvement over the standard car's 3.8sec 0-62mph time and 197mph top speed.
In addition to tinkering with the SLS's engine, the boffins at Senner have been busy adding adjustable KW coilover suspension along with 20-inch Schmidt Revolution alloy wheels.
Now, if you've just bought an SLS and you're immediately regretting holding out for the Senner version, don't despair. Senner will add the performance kit to a standard SLS for around £15,000. Alternatively, they'll sell you a fully converted car for 236,850 euros (around £200,000).
