McLaren is marking its 50th anniversary with two new special edition versions of the 12C and the 12C Spider.
The McLaren 50 12C and the 50 12C Spider will be built by McLaren's Special Operations division (MSO), the division of the company responsible for McLaren's bespoke customised cars. In keeping with the car's half-century theme, just 50 examples of the coupe and 50 of the cabriolet will be built.
The '50' editions will feature a range of improvements over the standard model, including a reshaped front bumper which increases downforce, more carbon-fibre in the construction and a front floor constructed from race-derived carbon Kevlar.
Both models also come with carbon ceramic brakes as standard, along with bespoke McLaren 50 'Ultra Lightweight' alloy wheels, which measure 19-inches on the front axle and 20-inches on the rear.
On the inside, all McLaren 50s get leather upholstery, a host of '50' edition badges and an anniversary dedication plate on the driver's door.
All McLaren 50 buyers will also get a monogrammed black and silver car cover, a limited edition key, a carbon-fibre key presentation box and a specially-commissioned print signed by McLaren Design Director Frank Stephenson.
The McLaren 50 will be offered in a choice of three exterior colours: carbon black, supernova silver or heritage McLaren orange.
Prices start from £196,000 for the McLaren 50 12C and £215,000 for the McLaren 50 12C Spider.
