Lexus has revealed its LF-LC Blue concept at the Australian International Motor Show.

The LF-LC Blue is a further development of the LF-LC concept introduced at this year's Detroit Motor Show; however, whereas the original car was shown in a glossy red paint finish, the LF-LC Blue gets an Opal Blue paint job, a nod towards the colour of the Australian gemstone.

The LF-LC is a 2+2 coupe and is constructed from a cocktail of carbon-fibre and aluminium alloy. Under the bonnet, the concept gets a hybrid petrol-electric powertrain which produces 500bhp, making it the most powerful Lexus hybrid ever made.

Lexus claims that the look of the LF-LC shows the styling direction the firm plans to take with its future road cars, and although there are no plans to put the LF-LC into production, Lexus is "actively studying how it can engineer and build a vehicle like this in the future".
