Infiniti will introduce new powertrains to its Q50 sports saloon range at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
Details of the new power-plants will be revealed in a press conference in Geneva next month, but it is understood that the engines will be the first fruit of Infiniti's co-operation agreement with Daimler AG, the owners of Mercedes-Benz.
The Geneva Show will mark the Q50's European debut, having made its first appearance at the Detroit Motor Show last month.
Two engines have already been confirmed for the Q50 -- a 3.7-litre V6 petrol and a 3.5-litre V6 petrol hybrid. All models will be fitted as standard with a seven-speed manual gearbox and with either rear- or four-wheel drive.
As well as the Q50, the Geneva Motor Show will also play host to Infiniti's LE all-electric concept, which debuted at the Paris Motor Show last year, and triple-world F1 Champion Sebastian Vettel's new Formula One car.
