Suzuki has confirmed it will unveil its all-new small SUV, the Vitara, at the Paris Motor Show in October.

The new five-door cars marks the return of the famous Vitara badge which was first used by Suzuki more than a quarter of a century ago.

Set to go on sale in the UK next spring, the new Vitara is base on the iV-4 concept which was first revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year. It will be available with an optional ALLGRIP intelligent four-wheel drive system, and with a range of petrol engines.

Little is known about the Vitara’s power units, but Suzuki claims they’ll offer low CO2 emissions and ‘outstanding fuel economy’.

Buyers will also have the chance to personalise their cars considerably thanks to a range of colour and trim customisation options. More details of these will be announced closer to launch.

The Vitara will be unveiled in Paris on 2 October.
