Hennessey Performance has revealed plans for an updated version of its insane Lotus-based Venom GT supercar, the Venom GT2.
And in a game of motoring Top Trumps, the GT2 trounces pretty much every car in the world.
Under the bonnet the GT2 gets a 7.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine which churns out 1,500bhp -- 300bhp more than the old GT. This means a power-to-weight ratio of more than 1000bhp per tonne and a predicted top speed of 287mph -- 20mph more than the current Bugatti Veyron, but 1mph slower than the planned 1,600bhp Veyron we told you about last month.
Other changes to the Hennessey include more aerodynamic bodywork, a double bubble roof and special new LED headlights.
A seven-speed flappy-paddle gearbox will also be offered for the first time.
In case you haven't heard of Hennessey Performance, it's a small Texas-based tuning company which was founded by self-confessed petrol-head John Hennessey in 1991. It was Hennessey who was responsible for the stupidly-powerful 242mph Cadillac we reported to you a couple of months ago.
More details are expected to be released when the GT2 makes its official debut next year.
