The new V8 engine launched by Bentley at the Detroit Motor Show in January is now available in the Continental GT.
The new engine sees a claimed 40% cut in fuel consumption and emissions, and costs around £13,000 less than existing 12-cylinder Continental. The 500 mile range of the V8 is a 100 mile improvement over the current W12 engine.
A black matrix grille, 21-inch wheels, and figure of eight tailpipes distinguish the V8 Continentals from their 12-cylinder stablemates.
The V8 Continental GT Coupe will cost £123,835, as opposed to £135,760 for the W12 version. The GTC convertible costs £136,250, just over £13,100 less than the 12-cylinder model.
The V8 Continentals have a number of optional extras, including ceramic brakes for £10,000, or special liquid paint for £24,000.
The Continental is Bentley's best selling model, and helped the brand increase its worldwide sales by 37% last year.
