Citroen has announced that its new C1 range will be available from the 2nd April.
Although the model is priced from £7,995 the Citroën Reward programme, applicable to all models, will take £1,000 off the on-the-road price.
The vehicle produces just 99g/km of CO2 emissions, and it is the first Citroën petrol model to produce less than 100g/km. This will mean that the car is exempt from VED and the London Congestion Charge.
C1 models come in seven variants, including the 5-door VTR+ priced at £10,545, which all benefit from the £1,000 discount.
The 5-door VTR+ also features the 'efficient' Electronic Gearbox System with steering mounted paddle controls.
The manual 3-door VT is the lowest priced vehicle in the range at an on the road price of £6,995 (including the discount).
VT trim levels add additional features to the C1. The VTR+ trim also includes 14" alloy wheels, Connecting Box (Bluetooth® & USB socket), front fog lights, leather steering wheel and dark tinted windows. VTR versions include day-time running LEDs, air conditioning and electric front windows.
According to the manufacturer the C1 is 'appealing to a wide range of drivers' because it has a combined fuel economy of 65.7mpg and is suitable for city driving. The vehicle also has a number of storage compartments and has room for four adults.
Drivers can purchase the C1 using Elect 4 Personal Lease, which makes VTR models available for a monthly fee of £99 per month. This also including one year's free insurance for drivers aged 21-75, also available on VTR models purchased with Elect 3 finance.
The C1 range is now available to pre-order.
