The iconic Mazda roadster will be revamped for September.

The Mazda MX-5 has inspired those with a love of driving for the past 25 years. The roadster has become synonymous with fun and a feeling of freedom. They plan to release a new version of the car and display it to the public in early September.

The fourth generation version will make its first appearance in Barcelona, Spain as part of celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the model. Similar unveilings will also happen in Japan and the USA. The MX-5 is officially the best selling two-seater sports car of all time and it has amassed an enormous and loyal fan club. The theme of the anniversary events will be ‘’Long live the Roadster’’.

Since its birth in 1989 Mazda have sold nearly a million MX-5s. Their focus has been on producing a lightweight car with perfectly engineered weight balance. The manufacturer is rightly proud that they have managed to keep selling the unconventional roadsters in a tough commercial market.“

The MX-5 is the product that best epitomises Mazda’s convention-defying spirit and our love of driving,” says Mazda Motor Europe President and CEO Jeff Guyton. “It has been grabbing people’s attention for 25 years, and with the new-generation model we’re aiming to share this passion with yet another generation of drivers.”
