Aston Martin is marking two important British aviation milestones with an exclusive new model.

Just 10 examples of the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Concorde edition will be produced by the bespoke Q by Aston Martin service, celebrating the centenary of British Airways and half-a-century of the supersonic Concorde airliner.

The Anglo-French supersonic jet was produced at Filton in Bristol for British Airways, and first took to the skies in 1969.  This was also the scene of Concorde’s final landing exactly 16 years ago, on the 26 November 2003, with that example, G-BOAF, now in residence as the star attraction at Aerospace Bristol.  It is therefore fitting that Aston Martin Bristol, a stone’s throw from the former Filton Airport, is the exclusive retailer for the new DBS Superleggera Concorde.

The DBS Superleggera Concorde features bespoke milled-aluminium side strakes, painted livery comprising British Airways colours on the roof strake, the aero blade, and the rear diffuser, a black tinted carbon fibre roof with Concorde silhouette graphic, the iconic British Airways ‘Speedmarque’ logo in chrome on the front wings, a unique Q by Aston Martin wing badge with black enamel infill, authentic jet black painted Civil Aviation Authority aircraft identifier numbers, and bespoke inspection plaques signed by both Aston Martin Lagonda President and Group CEO Andy Palmer and British Airways Chairman Álex Cruz.  On the inside there is a Concorde logo on both front seat facings, a Mach Meter graphic embroidered on the driver’s side sun visor, a unique headliner featuring printed Alcantara and displaying a ‘sonic boom’ graphic, paddle shifters made from titanium from Concorde compressor blades, floor mats in a Terence Conran design pattern, seatbelt buckle badges milled from solid aluminium, and bespoke sill plaques.

Performance, although not quite supersonic, is still hugely impressive.  A 715bhp, 5.2-litre, twin-turbo V12 gives a top speed of 211mph and 0-62 mph in just 3.4 seconds.
