Volkswagen Caravelle Overview

The seats are rail mounted so they can be moved and arranged to your preference, it comes with 7 seats but there is a 9 seat option. The Caravelle’s interior is very neat and clean.

Background

The Volkswagen Caravelle was first produced in 1988 in order to compete with the Nissan Ichi Van. Despite being first produce in 1988 the Caravelle is part of a long line of Large MPVs to come out of Volkswagen inspired by the type 2 Volkswagen that was originally produced in 1950.

It has a clear emphasis on luxury which is made apparent when you see the plush interior. If this is not enough however, and you require more in the way of luxuries, a special edition version, known as the Caravelle Edition 25 is also available.

The standard edition Caravelle comes with seven seats and seating 6 adults comfortably. Luggage space is also ample yet should you require more you can opt for the long wheelbase option.

Summary

The Volkswagen Caravelle was first produced in 1988 but has much deeper routes in Volkswagens history and it shows. It is a huge luxurious van which would be perfect for long road trips, if you require space for seven people and their luggage.
