The Vauxhall Cascada is a genuinely beautiful soft-top four-seater. We just hope it drives as well as it looks.

Vauxhall Cascada Overview
The Vauxhall Cascada is a four-seater convertible which is designed to compete with the likes of the Audi A5 Cabriolet but at a much lower price.
The Cascada is a genuinely practical car. Not only is it a full 70mm longer than the Audi A5 Cabrio, it also offers a decent luggage area of 350-litres with the roof up and 280-litres with the roof down.
A range of engines are on offer, including a 1.4-litre turbo petrol with 138bhp, a 2.0-litre diesel with 163bhp and a 1.6-litre turbo petrol with 168bhp. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be available
Background
The Vauxhall Cascada was revealed in late-2012 and is the Luton firm's first soft-top offering since the Astra TwinTop. In fact, the Cascada marks the first time the company has produced a large family convertible since the Mk2 Vauxhall Cavalier convertible of the 1980s.
Summary
The Vauxhall Cascada is a beautiful looking car and thoroughly deserves to make its mark in the large family convertible market. Unfortunately, we've yet to drive it, but we hope it's as good to drive as it is to look at.
