The Vauxhall Antara is a large 4X4, co-developed between Vauxhall and Daewoo. Although it's a 4x4, it's more suited to road use than it is ploughing through the countryside.

Vauxhall Antara Overview
The newest incarnation of the Antara, which is the result of a 2011 facelift, comes with only one engine, which is a revised 2.2 diesel turbo to replace the 2.0 litre diesel engine that was previously available.
It offers neat styling and excellent build quality while also being competitively priced.
Background
The Vauxhall Antara began as concept car which was presented at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show and was based on the Chevrolet T2X concept.
Since then it has undergone a number of developments and the production Antara ended up a longer, four door vehicle closely related to the Chevrolet Captiva.
The 2010 facelift saw a revised front end, new front and rear lights, the new Vauxhall badge, more storage space, improved interior lighting and new features such as an electric parking brake, a hill assistance system and a shift up indicator.
There was another facelift in 2011 which introduced the Euro 5 compliant 2.2 litre diesel engine.
Summary
The Vauxhall Antara is a nice looking 4x4 inside and out and poses a serious threat to the likes of Toyota's RAV 4 and the Honda CR-V.
