The SEAT Toledo is a good all-rounder, competent in all areas but excellent in none. If you're looking for a practical family saloon, this could be the car for you; however, there is very little here to excite the car-lover.

Seat Toledo Overview
The SEAT Toledo fits into the SEAT model range between the Ibiza and the Leon, and although it looks like a conventional four-door saloon, the Toledo is actually a five-door hatch.
The Toledo has a huge boot, which 550-litres of luggage space on offer. The rear seats also have plenty of legroom, making the Toledo a practical family car.
There's a wide range of engines, including 1.2- and 1.4-litre TSI petrol units and a 1.6-litre diesel. SEAT also offers a 'green' version of the Toledo called the Ecomotive which emits just 104g/km of CO2.
The Toledo has a slightly firm ride -- it's not the most comfortable car in its class -- but road, engine and wind noise are well contained, making it a relatively peaceful place to be.
Background
The original SEAT Toledo was launched as a saloon way back in 1991 and was the first model developed by the company under Volkswagen ownership. It was replaced by a new Giugiaro-designed model in 1998 and this was replaced by an all-new hatchback model in 2004.
SEAT released the Exeo in 2009, effectively replacing the Toledo; however, in 2012, a new Toledo based on VW's A05 platform was launched.
Summary
The SEAT Toledo is a very capable all-rounder, performing capably in all areas but excelling in none. If you need a reliable and practical family car, the Toledo is a good choice; however, if you're looking for a car which blends excitement with practicality, you should look elsewhere.
