MINI have lent their support to a scheme aimed at giving youngsters extra driving experience, by supplying the organisation running it with 11 new dual-control MINI Cooper D Hatches.

The cars will be used by MotorSport Vision’s Young Drive! scheme, which offers children from 11-years-old upwards the chance to enjoy their first taste of motoring in a safe and controlled environment.
The pre-teens are taught motoring skills which could prove vital in preparing them for becoming good drivers later in life, with a DSA-approved instructor passing on their expertise in a traffic-free environment.  The Young Drive! scheme operates at Brands Hatch, Oulton Park, Bedford Autodrome, and Snetterton.
"MINIs are the perfect choice for our unique YoungDrive! programme - they're easy to drive and they're fun, perfect for encouraging the desire to learn car-control skills and for fostering a love of driving.", said MotorSport Vision chief executive Jonathan Palmer.
