Many car firms are still struggling as a result of the recession, but Lamborghini appear confident that their sales are on the rise, with the waiting list for their Aventador LP700-4 model rising to over 12 months.

Despite the fact that the first car is not due to be delivered to buyers until this summer, if you are lucky enough to be able to afford to buy yourself an Aventador LP700-4 from Lamborghini you will find yourself having to wait over a year to get it because of the growing waiting list for the popular car which the company is confident will help them recover from last year’s weak sales figures.

Worldwide sales for the Italian firm reached just 1,320 cars in 2010, a disappointing drop for the firm after reaching a figure of 1,515 sales the year before. But with the Aventador already proving so popular, and with their Gallardo range, made up of the Superleggera, LP 560-4 and LP 550-2 coupés, and the Spyder benefiting from the addition of the new Spyder Performante, Lamborghini are confident of strong sales growth in the future.

Part of this growth is likely to come from emerging markets such as China, which has been a very small market for the company in the past, but which showed an impressive 150% growth in 2010 and sales numbers which are continuing to grow. But the company are also banking on a recovery in sales from their traditional market in Europe and America, as those countries begin to recover from the recession.
