Nine time World Rally Champion Sebastien Loeb’s appearance at this year's Festival of Speed has been confirmed by Citroen.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed will run from 26-29th June and Loeb will appear on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th June. The theme for the event this year is ‘Addicted to Winning – The Unbeatable Champions of Motorsport’ and as such, Sebastien Loeb seems the ideal man to attend and please the crowds.

As a Frenchman, he teamed up with French manufacturer Citroen and produced a winning partnership from 2004 when he won his first Championship title driving their Xsara WRC. He has since totted up 78 rally wins and won nine drivers titles with his fellow countrymen as manufacturers.

After leaving the world of WRC, Loeb continued in his quest for titles and victories. He has moved to the FIA World Touring Car Championship and will once again team up with Citroen to battle the 2014 season out alongside Yvan Muller and Jose Maria Lopez.

Last year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed attracted 196,000 visitors and the organisers hope the involvement of Loeb will excite spectators and make for another successful year.

Lord March commented: “It’s very exciting for all of us at Goodwood to be welcoming Sébastien Loeb back to the Festival of Speed. More than anyone, he epitomises our theme for the 2014 Festival of Speed –Addicted to Winning –The Unbeatable Champions of Motor Sport.”
