Shock horror!

A poll by insurance company Admiral has found that as many as 16% of male motorists and 6% of female motorists regularly break speed limits.

Surely all that this survey actually proves is that 84% of men and 94% of women are liars.

Over a quarter of drivers believe that it is acceptable to break speed limits and drivers aged between 30 and 39 are the most likely to speed, the poll has found.

In addition, over half of all motorists believe that the motorway speed limit should be raised from its current 70mph to 80mph, whereas only 40% of drivers are in support of the proposed 20mph limit in built-up areas.

On the subject of drink-driving, 48% of motorists think that the drink-drive legal limit should be lowered, 39% believe it should remain the same and only 7% would support raising the limit.

And when asked about fuel prices, a whopping 74% strongly agreed that they felt ripped off by the cost of fuel.
