According to information collected by the Auto Express Driver Power survey, the car manufacturer with the most improved average customer satisfaction rating over the course of the last 10 years is Hyundai.
Auto Express are today publishing a '10 Years of Driver Power' special, celebrating a decade of their famous Driver Power survey. Over the course of that 10 years more than 300,000 individual surveys have been completed, and they show that Hyundai have gone from being one of the worst car makers in terms of customer satisfaction in the first year, to being one of the top five best brands this year. It is this improvement, which shows a rise from 78.12% in 2002 up to 86.34% in 2011, taking them from 28th place up to fourth, which has won Hyundai the special title of 'Most Improved Car Manufacturer of the Decade'.
Another strong result for Hyundai came from the i30, last year's 'most satisfying car in Britain' in the Driver Power survey, which has now been placed fourth in the 'Best Car of the Decade' award.
The Acting Editor of Auto Express Graham Hope commented on the Most Improved award, saying:
"No brand has taken such a massive leap over the past decade as Hyundai. Its range now is unrecognisable from 2002, and our readers regularly tell us that they are both pleased and proud to own a Hyundai, which is reflected in its meteoric rise up our Driver Power ratings. And the company looks set to achieve even greater things in the years ahead."
