A car has crashed through the side of a house in Sutton, south London leaving no one seriously hurt.
Incredibly the car, a Honda CR-V, is also largely unscathed and is even thought to be preventing the partial collapse of the semi-detached home.
A member of the public called police after seeing the 4x4 embedded in the building.
The occupants of the home, Chris Simpson and his wife Laura, were at work at the time of the crash while the female driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
“When they called and told me there was a car driven through my wall into my lounge this is exactly what I pictured” said Mr Simpson, a project manager.
He continued: “I'm just very glad neither of us was in the house. Yesterday it would have been a different story. Ultimately though no-one is hurt.
“I think the car is relatively unscathed. We are talking to the insurance and borough surveyor is advising on whether to take the decision to remove the car this evening.”
Officers are awaiting a decision from insurers about the safe removal of the vehicle.
