Jaguar is showcasing its one-off C-X16 concept car at the Clerkenwell Design Week.
However, this isn't the 3.0-litre rear-wheel-drive two-seater we showed you last year. Nope, this is something much more, er, Wallace and Gromit.
The Jag is made entirely from clay and is being sculpted by clay modellers to "reveal the artistry involved in sculpting the cars of the future." Right…
Jag will be displaying three clay models, representing the past, present and future of the sports car firm. There will be models of the E-Type, the C-X16 you see here and the C-X75.
Advanced Design Creator at Jaguar, Julian Thomson, said: "Jaguar is one of the most technologically advanced companies in the field of product development but we still believe in the sense of artistry. Emotional connections are at the heart of our vehicles and the traditional process of working with clay with some of the best sculptors in the world allows us to refine them into the purest surfaces."
It might be just a publicity stunt, but the C-X16 is so impossibly gorgeous, we still want one, even if it is only made of clay.
