Take That star Gary Barlow and DJ Chris Evans have completed a charity drive from Land's End to John O'Groats in a pink Rolls-Royce Phantom, in order to raise £1million for Breast Cancer Care.
The duo were joined by Top Gear presenter James May and physicist Brian Cox for the 874 mile trip, with the foursome sharing the driving duties along the way.
The team set off from Cornwall on Thursday at 4.15am, arriving at the top of Scotland shortly before 5.30am this morning. Along the way the team stopped off in Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow.
Barlow said, "If we can raise £1million it will be amazing. The car is incredible. I can't wait to drive it, I've been designated as the tour chef and I’m going to dig my camping stove out, give it a dust-off and bring some food with me. I'm hoping along the way we get lots of support from the country."
Evans, who devised the idea for the stunt and also owns the 'FAB1' registration plate which adorns the car, said, "You can hire the most famous Rolls-Royce in the world as the icing on the cake to whatever special event you are attending, knowing that you are donating to a very worthy cause in the process."
