Chevrolet will unveil its new flagship, the Malibu, to European buyers at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
When it goes on sale next year, buyers will have a choice of engines: a 2.0-litre petrol and a 2.4-litre diesel, churning out 164bhp and 169bhp, respectively.
Chevrolet is making a lot of noise about the car's 'dual cockpit interior' which, it says "creates an inviting, spacious and comfortable environment with plenty of shoulder and hip room". The Malibu will also come with an extensive suite of safety features including eight airbags, dual-stage driver and passenger airbags and driver and passenger pelvic/thoracic side airbags. Electric stability control, electronic brake force distribution, hydraulic brake fade assist and corner brake control will also be featured, helping you to avoid a crash in the first place.
Wayne Brannon, President of Chevrolet Europe claims that the Malibu will bring "proven value with a premium feel to Europe's midsize segment".
Will Chevrolet's efforts be enough to tempt buyers away from their European cars?
