A 13-year-old boy from Italy drove his father's car 500 miles across Europe following a family argument.

The boy, who is adopted and originally from Poland, fled his home after an argument with his adoptive mother, reportedly over a mobile phone payment. He was intending to return to Poland to visit his biological sister, with whom he had been in touch with via the internet

However, instead of taking the train or bus, he realised that the journey would be a lot faster and a lot more comfortable in his father's Mercedes-Benz.

With less than €200 (£166) in his pocket, the boy travelled more than 500 miles, crossing through Austria into Germany and filling up with petrol twice during the journey.

The boy was eventually stopped in Moisburg in northern Germany by police. His parents travelled there to retrieve him.

This is the second time this week we've brought you news of a crazy European going on an epic, if misguided road trip, and if you look at a map of Europe, it's clear that, like Ms Moreau, the teenager had absolutely no idea where he was going.
